FAQ

Do I need an API key?

Not for trading or for most data. The Local Trade API builds unsigned transactions keyless, the launch feed and the Advanced Data Stream need no key. A key is created for you when you open a Lightspeed account, and Ultra Fast Stream and the OHLCV events use a key you ask for in the Telegram group.

What does it cost?

0.25% of each trade, taken inside the transaction, in the asset the trade settles in. Nothing on data, launches, reads or withdrawals. Tips to landing providers on Lightspeed are yours to set and go to the provider. See Fees.

Local Trade, Lightspeed or Ultra Fast Stream: which one?
  • Local Trade API when you hold the key: we build, you sign on your machine and send. Three hops, your custody of the key.
  • Lightspeed when speed decides: one request builds, signs with your Lightspeed wallet and races every landing provider. The wallet is encrypted under your API key; nobody opens it without the key.
  • Ultra Fast Stream is data, not trading: pump.fun and PumpSwap transactions read from the shreds before they execute, so a bot reacts a block earlier. Pair it with Lightspeed.
Where should my bot run?

Next to the API. Frankfurt is the main region, with Amsterdam and New York beside it; the region picker at the bottom of this sidebar rewrites every address in the docs to the one you choose. From the same city a request takes about a millisecond, from across the Atlantic 80 to 100 ms. See Regions.

How fast is the stream compared with others?

Measured from the US on 2026-10-08: Ultra Fast Stream on the New York region had each pump.fun transaction first; our New York Advanced Data Stream came 6 ms later, pumpapi.io's event, served from Frankfurt, 16 ms later, PumpPortal's new-token feed 115 ms later. Read from Frankfurt the two executed feeds tie. The table and the image are on the Advanced Data Stream page.

My buy reverted. Why?

The usual reasons, in order: slippage too tight for a coin that moves between your request and the block; the bonding curve completed and the coin now trades on PumpSwap (the response tells you, retry or pass pool: "pumpswap"); a quoted coin (priced in USDC or a stock) bought without holding the quote. On Lightspeed, copies of a trade that lose the race revert on purpose: only one copy fills, the rest fail before moving funds. See the Lightspeed trade page.

How do I sell everything?

amount: "100%" on a sell, on both the Local Trade API and Lightspeed. "50%" sells half. A token amount sells that many tokens.

What slippage should I use?

5% is the default and fine for a coin that is already trading. A fresh launch wants more, 15 to 25%, because the dev buy and the first snipes land in the same blocks as yours. Lightspeed's response shows the minimum the transaction enforces.

I was disconnected. Did I miss trades?

Reconnect to the Advanced Data Stream with sinceSlot set to the last slot you handled and everything since is sent first, marked replayed. About two minutes are kept; older gaps are in the hourly replay files. See Replay and resume.

What are the rate limits?

Three requests a second per endpoint on the REST API, one open connection per IP on the Advanced Data Stream, 50 tokens and 50 wallets per stream connection, 500 mints and wallets on Ultra Fast Stream. A 429 carries no wait time; a short pause is enough. Ask in Telegram if you need more.

Can I run several wallets?

Yes. Each Lightspeed account is its own wallet with its own key; create as many as you need (20 an hour per IP). On the Local Trade API the wallet is whatever key signs.

Which launchpads are covered?

pump.fun and PumpSwap, Bonk and StonkFun on LaunchLab, Meteora DBC and DAMM v2, Raydium CPMM and AMM v4, Orca. Pass the mint and the API finds the venue; pool forces one.

Something is wrong with the API. Where do I ask?

The Telegram group. Include the request, the response and the time; a transaction signature if there is one.
